About TSI
HISTORY
TSI
(a.k.a. Trinkle Sales, Inc.) is a Manufacturers’ Representative firm with
a long history of serving the electronic industry in the Middle Atlantic
States. Our beginning coincides with the very dawn of radio, but our
founder's interest in electronics began before that. As a teenager Wilmer
Trinkle was building components by hand and working his wireless equipment
in Philadelphia. After his military service in World War I he worked as
an engineer for the Bell Telephone Company. At the same time, he was the
Technical Editor for the Public Ledger now known as the
Philadelphia Inquirer.
One of Wilmer’s regular readers was the owner of a manufacturers'
representative firm named L.P. Clark, whose firm Trink joined in 1924.
Clark died in 1931 and Trink bought the firm from Clark's widow. This
places TSI
as one
of the first firms formed that's still in existence in the USA and the
first resulting from an acquisition to continue.

PHILOSOPHY
Over a time span of almost “nine decades”,
TSI
has
earned the reputation as one of the nation's most dynamic representative
firms and one of the best known. We currently serve more than 2,000
customers scattered throughout nearly 100,000 square miles of territory.
Geographic competence is not just an asset in sales coverage in this
spread out territory, it is essential!
We strive to constantly get better at what we do and how we do it. We are
most proud of our folks who make it happen, those who apply the concept of
teamwork and flexibility to adapt to the ever increasing demands and the
ever changing market that we serve.
It has been said that there are two kinds of representative firms:

TSI’s
reason
for existence is to contribute to the success of our principals and our
customers. To experience growth by providing unparalleled excellence
in service and to be recognized as one of the premier representatives
in our market who “adds value” to our customers and provides a unique
advantage to those principals whom we proudly represent.

FACILITY
Our corporate office consists of 3,700 square feet of prime office space
in a centrally located part of our territory in Marlton, NJ. We have a
spacious and well-equipped conference room for customer seminars and
distributor training. We are approximately a 20-minute drive from either
the Philadelphia airport or the downtown Philadelphia area. Both the NY
Metro and the MD/VA market centers are equal distance from our main office
and are served by well qualified resident sales engineers.
A dedicated T1 line gives us maximum broadband capability for both voice &
data. Our headquarters’ office also has open wireless access for visiting
principals, customers and our distributor-partners. All computers and
other office equipment are networked together via Windows SBS so that an
individual never has to leave a work station in order to print, download
large documents, scan or fax. All outside sales engineers are in email
contact 24/7 via laptops and PDA’s. Maintaining the most current
productivity tools allows all team members to provide the most effective
service possible to our valued customers.
